Squad Check Terms of Service

Squad Check is a personalized reminder and accountability service. You choose a character "persona" who sends you reminders and check-ins by SMS, WhatsApp, or in the app.

You must be at least 18 years old to use Squad Check.

By signing up and providing your phone number, you consent to receive reminder and check-in messages from Squad Check. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel or HELP for help at any time.

Message frequency varies based on the reminders you set. Carriers are not liable for any delayed or undelivered messages. Our Privacy Policy is available at squad-check.com/privacy.

Squad Check is an accountability and reminder tool. It is not a medical, mental health, safety, or emergency service, and should not be relied on for anything critical to your health or safety. If you are experiencing an emergency, contact your local emergency services.

Squad Check offers a free plan and paid plans (Crew and Inner Circle). Paid subscriptions are billed through Stripe on a recurring basis until canceled. You can cancel anytime; cancellation stops future billing and takes effect at the end of your current billing period. We don't offer prorated refunds for partial periods unless required by law.

You agree not to use Squad Check to harass, harm, or send unlawful content, or to send messages to anyone who hasn't consented. You are responsible for the reminders and content you create.

You're responsible for keeping your account secure and for activity under it. Provide accurate information when you sign up.

Squad Check is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee messages will always be delivered on time or without interruption, as delivery depends on third parties like carriers and messaging providers.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Arawak Technologies is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Squad Check.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

Squad Check is a text-message-based reminder service. Sending you reminders by SMS is the core function of the product. Here is exactly how we collect your consent to text you, and what your rights are.

How we get your permission: During onboarding (Step 5 of 5), you are shown an opt-in screen with an unchecked checkbox and the following consent language:

"Yes, text me. I want my squad to send me reminders and check-ins by text. I understand message frequency varies based on the reminders I set, and message and data rates may apply. I can reply STOP anytime to cancel or HELP for help. I've read the Privacy Policy and Terms of Service."

To opt in, you must: (1) actively check the checkbox yourself — it is never pre-checked — and (2) type your initials in the field provided to confirm your consent. Consent is optional. You may skip this step and use the web app only, with no SMS messages sent to you.

What we send you: Messages include the reminders you personally scheduled, follow-up check-ins if you haven't responded, and confirmation replies when you mark a task complete or reschedule. All messages relate to reminders you created. We do not send marketing or promotional messages.

Message frequency: Varies based on the reminders you set.

Message and data rates: Standard message and data rates may apply depending on your carrier plan.

How to stop messages: Reply STOP to any message at any time. You will receive one confirmation that you have been unsubscribed and will receive no further messages. To resubscribe, reply START.

Consent records: We store a record of your consent including: checkbox state, typed initials, timestamp, and the version of the consent text shown. Consent version: v1 (effective 2026-07-04).
